What percentage of contributions go to the athletes?
Between 85–90%. Success With Honor keeps its overhead costs as low as possible, but must cover expenses related to IT, legal, marketing materials, content creation, student-athlete education, fan engagement experiences, and bookkeeping. The Board of Directors review finances on an ongoing basis to ensure funds are spent in ways that most benefit the athletes.
Can I select what sport my contributions support?
Yes — anyone subscribing to Success With Honor can denote what sport and respective student-athletes their contributions will be earmarked for. Supporters can also contact us directly to set up activations with their favorite student-athlete(s).
What if I'm interested in giving a larger contribution?
Individuals and businesses interested in giving larger contributions can contact us directly at
nittany@successwithhonor.org. Contributions can be specified for specific sports, programs and activations.
Are all student-athlete opportunities the same?
No — contracts vary based on the specific athlete and the requirements of the contributor and/or activation. Each deal is individually negotiated and agreed upon by the student-athletes. Success With Honor seeks to provide equal opportunities for both male and female student-athletes.
Are contracts with student-athletes exclusive?
No — contracts are not exclusive. We want every Penn State student-athlete to thrive under NIL and take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way.
What types of NIL opportunities does Success With Honor help activate?
Near-limitless: autograph signings, social-media promotions, camps and clinics, charity events, special appearances, product reviews, commercials, NFTs, and many more. The types of opportunities student-athletes engage in are determined by contributors and our board of directors and advisors.
Can I request opportunities to engage with certain athletes?
Yes — businesses and individuals can request specific NIL deals with athletes. Contact us at
nittany@successwithhonor.org to get started.
What happens if an athlete transfers or leaves Penn State?
Contracts are limited in time and scope to provide protection for contributor funds in situations where a student-athlete transfers.
Is Success With Honor affiliated with Penn State University?
No — the collective is not affiliated with the university in any way. It is a third party created to work with Penn State student-athletes. The university is prohibited by state law from arranging third-party compensation for student-athletes as it relates to NIL contracts.
Are there any limitations on NIL deals?
Student-athletes cannot enter into deals that promote alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, political advertising, pornography, gambling or betting, or other opportunities that go against Penn State values. Additionally, there must be quid-pro-quo between the athlete and an individual or business.
How can I pause, cancel, or change my contribution?

nittany@successwithhonor.org and we will be happy to assist.
Are donations tax deductible?
Donations are not tax deductible.
